Melmoth books began life more than 20 years ago and was born of a passion for reading and collecting. Thoughts about books filled our heads, love of books filled our hearts and eventually the books themselves filled our home.

 

And so, having been blessed with children who prefer all things digital, we had to decide what to do with our extensive library. Having spent hours searching through secondhand bookshops for elusive volumes, we wanted our precious books to be loved and appreciated in their new homes. 

 

Thus we thought that offering our books for sale to other bibliophiles was an opportunity to share our passion and safeguard the future of these special texts.

Our name was inspired by a favourite novel, Charles Maturin's 'Melmoth the Wanderer'. Welcome to our website, and to our collection. We look forward to hearing from you and supplying the books that you are searching for.
